Air fryers are a new kitchen appliance in town. Many of us have bought it to utilize its benefits. Anything that requires frying can be made in an air fryer. It can make anything from fried air fries, chicken wings, pizzas, bacon, donuts, etc. We can make many healthy foods in an air fryer. Many questions also arise when we talk about Air Fryer’s benefits. The most asked question is, “Can air fryers be used for baking?”

Today, we will answer this question along with the basic recipe for a cake baked in an Air Fryer.

Can Air Fryer be used for baking?

The simple answer is Yes. It can be used to bake your cake, cookies, bread, pizza, and all the items that need baking. It saves your time by reducing the pre-heat and baking time. It doesn’t require pre-heat and works fast compared to an oven.

The only drawback of using an Air Fryer for baking is that you are bound with the size and quantity. In the oven, we have two or more racks that allow us to bake many batches. Whereas, in the air fryer, we have limited space, so only 1 cake or only 1 batch of cookies can be baked at a time. Otherwise, if you want to use it for small batches and fewer people, then it’s an ideal condition to utilize your Air Fryer.

How can we use Air Fryer for baking?

An air fryer is faster than an oven, so you do not need to pre-heat it for too long. Just pre-heat it for 1 or 2 minutes before putting the batter inside. Set the timer to 20 minutes. It works faster, so do not exceed time without checking the cake’s condition in between the baking.

Once you understand its temperature and timing, you can adjust it according to your cake pan size.

Interesting Fact About an Air Fryer

The interesting fact about an air fryer is that it doesn’t fry your food. Instead, it uses coils and air to create hotness inside the air fryer, which acts as a healing agent to cook the food.

It doesn’t require fire and oil to air-fried the food. It only uses air to cook the food.
